NEW ORLEANS, La. – Juniors
Jason Bois and
Nick Entner of the Union College men's outdoor track & field team both earned All-Mideast Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025 outdoor season, the association announced last week.
To earn All-Region honors, individuals must finish in the top-five of the region in an event and relay teams must finish in the region's top-three. Bois is named All-Region for the third straight outdoor season and, along with his indoor honor earlier this season, is the first four-time All-Region honoree in Union men's track & field history. Entner is the seventh Union men's track & field competitor to earn All-Region recognition and the first Union thrower to be named All-Region during the outdoor season.
Bois finished another excellent season in the 110-meter hurdles with a record-breaking run at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships, surpassing his own program standard with a time of 14.81 seconds in the preliminaries to rank fourth in the Mideast Region. Entner earned his All-Region laurels in the javelin throw, thanks to a career-best toss of 55.58 meters at the RPI Capital District Classic that placed him fifth regionally.
In addition to Bois and Entner, several other Union athletes finished in the top-20 of the region as well this year. Senior
Ben Neff ranked eighth regionally in the 1500 meters after a career-best 3:52.24 run at regionals and classmate
Sam Ahern also cracked the top-10 in the 200-meter dash after finishing in a program-record 21.58 at the Trinity Invitational. Sophomore
Nate Okwaning and Ahern both ranked in the top-20 in the 100-meter dash, with Okwaning sitting 12th after a team-best time of 10.77 seconds at AARTFCs and Ahern finishing 14th thanks to a time of 10.80 seconds at the Dan Stimson Memorial Invitational. In the field events, junior
Mason Lang ranked eighth in the shot put with a top mark of 14.06 meters at Trinity and also ended the year 15th with a 51.25-meter toss of the javelin at the conference championships.
Among relay teams, the Union quartet of Ahern, Okwaning, sophomore
Aaron Binion and first-year
Aidan Bradley ranked fifth in the region in the 4x100 with a time of 42.00 at RPI and the 4x400 relay (Bradley, juniors
Drew Hill and
Aidan Savitt, and sophomore
Jackson Klehr) finished 17th after a 3:28.17 result at the conference championships.
