SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College baseball team is hosting the first game under the lights at Central Park A Diamond on Wednesday, May 1 with a pregame ceremony slated for 6:30 p.m.
Schenectady Mayor Gary McCarthy, Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara, and Assemblyman Phil Steck will be in attendance.
There will be a celebratory "turning on of the lights" before the game, as well as a first pitch from the Mayor. The Mayor will be joined by our State Assembly members who helped secure money for this important upgrade and paved the way for the Union College Baseball team to return to Schenectady for their home games for the first time since 2015.
The Garnet Chargers host Russell Sage College with a 7:00 p.m. first pitch in the final non-conference game of the regular season. Due to construction in other areas of the park, fans are asked to park in the Central Park A Diamond parking lot located off of Fehr Ave.
Union is 25-8 this season with a 12-2 record at home.
