SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College women's swimming and diving team beat Clarkson 182-85 and St. Lawrence 162-80 but fell to Smith 180-95 in a quad-meet meet at Alumni Gym Pool on Saturday afternoon.
First-year Julia Garber highlighted the meet with a pool record and personal best in the 100 individual medley, touching the wall in 1:04.95. She also reached the podium in the 100 fly, placing second with a time of 1:02.85.
First-year Ali Sweeney was Union's high-point swimmer, winning the 50 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke with times of 34.11 and 1:14.42, respectively. She also competed on Union's third-place 200 medley relay (1:58.95).
First-year Maggie Reale was also on the 200 medley relay with Sweeney, junior Jess Konsky, and first-year Lucia Lazarus. Reale also placed second in the 50 freestyle (26.67) and the 200 freestyle (2:10.03), and teamed up for a second-place finish with Lazarus, first-year Mya Schattin, and junior Chloe Matthews with a time of 1:47.20 in the 200 freestyle relay.
Union had another relay finishing in the top three of the 200 free relay. Junior

Alison Silver were right on the Garnet Chargers' A relay's tail with a time of 1:49.68.

The Garnet Chargers host their next meet at Alumni Gym Pool on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. against Roberts Wesleyan and Westfield State.
