CANTON, N.Y. – The Union College men's cross country team earned a sixth-place finish at the 2025 Liberty League Championships, held at St. Lawrence University's Ronald C. Hoffman Cross Country Course on Saturday morning.
The Garnet Chargers finished the event with 177 points, sitting 46 points behind Ithaca College in fifth place and nine points clear of Clarkson University in seventh. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute earned seven of the top-nine individual finishes to earn the conference title.
Junior
Bretton Garrick was Union's top finisher yet again on Saturday, traversing the 8K course in 26:45.70 to place 29th overall. Sophomore
Liam Fitzgibbon and first-year
Alex Colangelo both finished in the top-half of the field as well for Union, with Fitzgibbon taking 39th in 27:07.7 and Colangelo competing the course in 27:42.6 to place 56th overall out of 114 runners.
Union's remaining six runners all finished within 18 seconds of each other, led junior
Jackson Klehr in 27:50.2.
The Garnet Chargers will return to Canton in two weeks for the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships, held on November 15.
