ITHACA, N.Y. – After four days of competition, the Union College women's swimming and diving team finished in sixth place at the 2025 Liberty League Swimming and Diving Championships hosted by Ithaca College.
Union earned 550 points and finished sixth out of 10 teams. The sixth-place finish is the highest under head coach
Molly Chamberlain and the highest since the team finished fifth in 2022.
The 400 free relay team finished eighth with a time of 3:43.73, which was a drop of just over three seconds from the morning session. Union's team was made up of sophomore
Chloe Matthews, sophomore
Jess Konsky, junior
Alison Silver, and senior
Kristina Valenti.
Sophomore
Amelia Dino earned a spot in the B final of the 200 backstroke and completed the race in 2:17.15. Konsky earned a spot in the C final and earned second in the final with a time of 2:14.67.
The 200 breaststroke saw seven Union swimmers qualify for either the B or C final. Valenti won the B final with a time of 2:30.03, marking a 3.8 second drop from her preliminary race.

Molly Miller (2:33.37),
Meghan Seidberg (2:36.37), and
Ally Gowern (2:38.54) placed sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively. First-year
Kathlyn Pomeroy won the C final with a time of 2:34.24. Senior
Gabi Acosta placed third with a time of 2:40.34 and first-year
Maddie Stanley finished in 2:42.70.
