SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Following a four-year career with the Union College men's hockey team, senior Caden Villegas signed a standard player contract with the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL, the organization announced on Wednesday.

Villegas, the team's assistant captain, finished first in the team in scoring with 29 points (7-22-29) in 36 games. The senior scored three power-play goals this season and the game-winning goal at Yale in January.

In his career, Villegas skated in 139 games with 80 points (29-51-22). A two-time member of the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team, Villegas also earned ECAC Hockey weekly honors twice in his career.
