SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Senior forward Josh Nixon inked an amateur tryout agreement with the Maine Mariners of the ECHL, the organization announced on Thursday.

Nixon, an assistant captain for Union this season, scored a career-high 14 goals this season. The senior forward recorded 23 points (14-9-23) in 36 games. Aside from his play on the ice, Nixon was a two-time member of the ECAC All-Academic Team.

Over the last three years with Union, Nixon skated in 106 games with 66 points (34-32-66), nine power-play goals and four game-winning markers. A transfer from Lake Superior State University, Nixon skated in 143 NCAA contests with 86 points (42-44-86) in his four-year collegiate career. He was honored as a member of the CCHA All-Rookie Team during his time with LSSU.
