SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Due to snow on the field at Central Park "A" Diamond, the Union College baseball team's 2026 debut has been postponed again.

The Garnet Chargers were gearing up to play their home and season opener against Mount St. Mary College on Wednesday, March 4, but due to snow on the playing surface and in the forecast, the field will not be ready in time. The game has been rescheduled for Monday, April 27. First pitch at Central Park "A" Diamond is set for 6 p.m.

In the meantime, the Garnet Chargers are now set to play their first games of the year on Sunday, March 8 aganst Stevens Institute of Technology. Union's doubleheader with the Ducks is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in Hoboken, N.J. Union has also announced a makeup date for one of its previously postponed games against Russell Sage College. The Garnet Chargers and Gators will square off in Schenectady on Tuesday, April 7 at 3:30 p.m.
