SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.-- Skidmore defeated Union, 6-3 in women's tennis with a sweep in the doubles and three triumphs in the singles. The Dutchwomen fell to a 1-5 overall season record while Skidmore's record is now 3-2.

Union won three singles matches against the Thoroughbreds. Roni Brumberger (Scarsdale, NY/ Scarsdale) and Brittany Miller (Scituate, MA/ Scituate) each were singles winners in three games. Brumberger defeated Steph Abrams, 6-1, 4-6, 6-2. Miller downed Jenny Grabber, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Kathleen Rucci (Schenectady, NY/ Guilderland) ended the single matches with a quick two game victory over Skidmore's Ashley McEvoy, 6-2, 6-0. 

Skidmore's Maddie Paulie, Gabby Rosenthal, and Kate Hugo all won in two game singles victories over the Dutchwomen. The Thoroughbreds had a clean sweep on the doubles by scores of 8-1, 8-0, and 8-4.

Union returns to action on the Tuesday September 20 at 3:30 at Oneonta.
