TROY, NY – The Union women's tennis team sent RPI to just the second loss in seven maches as the Dutchwomen downed the Engineers, 5-4 at Sharp Courts. The Dutchwomen, who took four out of the six singles matches, improve to 3-4 on the season, while the Engineers move to 5-2.
Union got straight singles wins from Hallie Mabrey (Needham, MA), Brittany Miller (Scituate, MA) and Andie Coopersmith (Great Neck, NY), while Kathleen Rucci (Schenectady, NY) won a greuling match, 6-4, 1-6 and 7-6 (7-3).

Both Rensselaer and Union return to the courts this weekend when take part in the New York State Championships, in Ithaca. Competition begins on Friday (8:30am).
