SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - For the second time this season,
Max Balter has been named Liberty League Field Performer of the Week.
Balter won the long jump with a leap of 6.93 meters, breaking his own school record and establishing a new person best at the Hamilton Invitational. He also improved yet again on his ECAC qualifying marks. Also part of the 4 x 200-meter relay team, he helped the Dutchmen earn a third-place finish with a time of 1:34.01.
The senior initially earned ECAC Championships qualifying marks during the RIT invitational when he took second-place in the long jump with a leap of 6.89 meters. Two weeks later, Balter bested his own record by leaping 6.92 meters.
The Union College track and field team is back in action next Saturday, February 11th, at the Liberty League Championships in Canton, New York.
