Balter, Camilleri compete at ECAC Championships

The 2012 ECAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at RPI featured Union competitors in the two day event.

The top-five finishing teams on the men's side showed Bates at the top with 61 points. Rowan was second with 49 points, followed by Ramapo (40), MIT (33) and a two-way tie for fifth between Amherst (29) and Oneonta State (29).

For the Dutchmen, senior Max Balter of Union was 13th in the long jump with a final of 6.67 meters.

In the 4x100 relay, Union was 31st with a time of 44.54, featuring Dylan Schuck, Tosin Kazeem, Josh Davis and Vincent Vivenzio.

On the women's side, Ithaca compiled 68 points, followed close behind by Wheaton (MA) with 60 points. Williams was third with 43 points, followed by Amherst (40) and Cortland State (39).

Union featured a ninth place finish in the hammer throw by senior Kaitlin Camilleri. Her throw was measured at 43.83 meters, and she had a better finish then 14 other competitors.
