Dutchmen win diving events but fall to Williams

Junior diver Jeremy Sagaille claimed victory in the three meter diving event.
RESULTS

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – The Union College men's swimming and diving team swept the two diving events but fell to Williams 205-88 on Saturday afternoon at Samuelson-Muir Pool.

Sophomore Kian Nowrouzi claimed victory in the three meter diving event while junior Jeremy Sagaille claimed won the one meter diving event. Sophomore Cameron Robertson claimed second place in both the three and one meter diving events.

Senior Zack Wahl claimed his third event victory of the season after finishing with a time of 52.42 in the 100 yard butterfly.

The Dutchmen also claimed four second place finishes. Junior Andrew Welch finished just .14 seconds behind the first place finisher in the 100 yard backstroke to earn the Dutchmen four points. Wahl picked up another four points for the Dutchmen after finishing second in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:56.78. Sophomore Benjamin Nadareski finished just .3 seconds behind the first place finisher in the 50 yard freestyle. The A relay squad of Wahl, seniors Billy Phillips and Adam Herzog and sophomore Benjamin Nadareski claimed second place in the 200 yard freestyle relay.

Other notable finishers include John Enquist, who claimed third place in the 200 yard medley and the A relay squad of Welch, Enquist, Phillips and Nadareski who finished thirdin the 200 yard medley relay.

The Dutchmen will return to action when they host the Liberty League Championships on Dec. 6 and 7.
