LATHAM, N.Y. – Union is still searching for its first league win after suffering a 9-0 defeat to Vassar at Tri-City Fitness.  The match was moved indoors due to inclement weather.

Vassar (1-0, 1-0 LL), which has reached the Liberty League Tournament Final in four straight seasons, won all its matches in straight sets.  Union's Natalia Pronchick faced a still challenge at No. 1 singles, falling to newly-crowned ITA Regional champion Kat Christensen, 6-1, 6-1.  Mina Hsia took four games in a 6-3, 6-1 loss to Ava Sadeghi in No. 2 singles.  Union freshman Jessica Maung made her collegiate debut in singles, losing to Dasha Ivenitsky in the No. 6 flight.

Union (1-4, 0-3 LL) will close the fall portion of its schedule tomorrow, hosting arch-rival Rensselaer at 1:00 p.m. at the Union Outdoor Courts.
