SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Union closed the fall portion of its 2014-15 campaign with an 8-1 loss to Rensselaer in Liberty League action at the Union Courts.
Mina Hsia captured Union's lone point, defeating Emily Laurillard at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-3. Freshman Leena Diller made her collegiate debut and won five games in a straight set loss to Jacqueline Curtsinger at No. 6 singles. Rensselaer (2-1, 1-0 LL) won all three double flights, and never trailed in its league opener.
Union (1-5, 0-4 LL) is off from competive matches until its spring break trip in late March.
