Union Edged by RIT, 5-4

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Union dropped its closest match of the season in a 5-4 setback to RIT in Liberty League road action.

Emily Newman won twice on the afternoon, defeating Riane Reithel in straight sets (6-3, 6-2) at No. 5 singles and teaming with Margaret Oppenheim for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles. Union also received singles victories from Mina Hsia (No. 2) and Hayley Lough (No. 4).

The Dutchwomen (3-10, 1-5 LL) will host Hamilton on Tuesday.
