NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – With its season heading down the homestretch, Union lost to SUNY New Paltz, 7-2, in non-conference action from the North Tennis Courts Thursday afternoon. The match was originally scheduled for April 4, but was postponed due to inclement weather. Union earned its two points by winning a pair of singles matches.
Mina Hsia defeated Brittany Grandville, 6-2, 6-2, at the No. 2 position and
Hayley Lough beat Jessica Schmidt, 7-5, 6-1 in the No. 4 flight. The victory was the 25th of Hsia's career and marked her third-straight singles win. Lough, likewise, won her third-straight singles match.
The Dutchwomen (3-11) return to the Electric City for their home finale Sunday against William Smith.
