SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Union continued a busy stretch of fall tennis, playing its third match in five days Wednesday afternoon as Hamilton visited for a nonconference match. The Continentals came away with a 9-0 victory, winning each match in straight sets.
Paige Webster won a team-high four games in a 6-4, 6-0 setback to Bella Schoning at No. 4 singles, then combined with
Natalia Pronchick to put forth the team's strongest doubles showing with an 8-4 loss at the No. 1 slot.
Union takes a break from team competition and will send four players to the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional at William Smith, starting Saturday (Sept. 26). Pronchick,
Hayley Lough and
Julianne Loree will participate in singles, while Pronchick and Webster will compete in the doubles draw.
