SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—The Union College women's tennis team notched their fifth straight win, rolling to a 7-2 Liberty League victory against Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) on Sunday afternoon at the Turning Stone Casino.
The Dutchwomen, who are  one win shy of tying the program single-season record, improve to 8-5 overall and 2-3 in the Liberty League, while the Tigers go to 4-10 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
For the third consecutive match Union swept doubles play, jumping out to a 3-0 lead.
Mina Hsia and
Natalia Pronchick earned an 8-5 win at number one, Haley Lough and
Paige Webster were 8-2 winners at number two and
Lena Diller and
Julianne Loree cruised to an 8-2 win at number three.
The Dutchwomen continued to control play in singles competition, as Hsia, Lough, Webster and Loree dropped just five games combined. Hsia and Webster each posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at number two and number four, respectively, Lough knocked off Brianna Dimisko 6-0, 6-0 at number three and Loree registered a 6-1, 6-2 win at number five.
Union hosts SUNY Oneonta at 4 p.m., Thursday, April 21.
