SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—The Union College women's tennis defeated SUNY Oneonta 7-2, Thursday evening at the Union Tennis Courts, picking up its sixth consecutive victory and tying a program record with its ninth win of the season.
The Dutchwomen improve to 9-5 on the season, while the Red Dragons go to 9-12.
Haley Lough,
Paige Webster,
Julianne Loree and
Lena Diller were all double-winners on the day.
Union took a 2-1 into singles play after Lough and Webster notched an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles and Diller and Loree battled to a 9-7 win at No. 3.
Lough and Diller extended the Dutchwomen's lead to 4-1 with straight-set wins at No. 3 and No. 6 singles, respectively, and Webster clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at No. 4.
Loree contributed her second win of the day topping Christine Santarsiero 6-4, 6-2 at No. 5 and
Mina Hsia added a 6-0, 6-1victory at No. 3.
Union hosts crosstown rival RPI at 4 p.m., Friday, April 29.
