Former Dutchman Kinkaid named to Team USA for IIHF Worlds

SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—Former Union College men's hockey goaltender and current New Jersey Devil Keith Kinkaid has been named to Team USA for the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Men's World Championship in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia.

Kinkaid is the first ever former Dutchman to be named to Team USA for the IIHF World Championships, and the just second Dutchman to participate in the tournament, joining Mark Szucs '99, who played for Austria in 2002, 2003 and 2004.

A two-time All-ECAC Hockey selection and the 2011 ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Year, Kinkaid appeared in 63 games with Union, posting a 2.18 goals against average and a .917 save percentage.

This season, the Farmingville, N.Y. native went 9-9-1 with a 2.81 goals against average and a .904 save percentage in 23 appearances between the pipes for New Jersey.
