HILTON HEAD, S.C.-- The Union College women's tennis team extended its winning streak to five with back-to-back victories on Tuesday at the Hilton Head Beach & Tennis Club in Hilton Head, SC.
The Dutchwomen did not relinquish a set in either of the two matches, defeating both Hollins and Buena Vista, 9-0.
In the first match of the day against Hollins, No. 2
Julianne Loree and No. 5
Madeleine Hamparian won their matches without dropping a game to their opponents 6-0, 6-0, respectively. Natalia Pronchick won the No. 1 match in 6-1, 6-1 fashion, while
Paige Webster grabbed a 6-0, 6-2 victory in the No. 3 match.
Alex Greenberg's 6-4, 6-0 win over Kateri Johnson and
Lisa Hladik's 6-1, 6-0 victory over Kaitlyn Woodruff rounded out the sweep of singles action.
The Dutchwomen continued to roll against Buena Vista, jumping out to a 3-0 lead after doubles. Loree remained perfect on the day, notching another 6-0, 6-0, win at No. 3. Natalia Pezzuco was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at No. 1 in her lone singles match of the da, while Pronchick added her second singles win at6-0, 6-0 No. 2, 6-1,6-2.
Greenberg added a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4,
Lisa Hladik posted a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 5 and
Madeleine Hamparian was a 6-0, 6-2 winner at No. 6.
The Dutchwomen host Division II Le Moyne at 1 p.m., April 1.
