MIDDLEBURY, VT - Dropping their sixth straight meet, the Union College men's swimming and diving team fell to Middlebury College this evening, 75-198.
The Dutchmen's 400 medley relay team (
Owen Perks,
Tommy Han,
Brendan McClure and Seif Refaat) came in second place to the Panthers, with a time of 3:43.62.
Perks and Refaat each earned nine individual points in today's meet, with big wins. Perks found victory in the 100 back (56.20) and also placed third in the 200 back, with a time of 2:00.06. Refaat won the 200 fly (2:00.72) and placed second, in a tight race, during the 100 fly (54.02).
Matt Mintz and
Sam Hoyt swept first and second place during the 1 meter diving competition, respectively. Mintz earned 355.50 points, and Hoyt tallied 314.93. Mintz also placed in second during the 3 meter dive, with a score of 318.60.
The Dutchmen will return to the pool next Friday to host Hamilton College in Schenectady.
