HILTON HEAD, SC – The Union College women's tennis team swept singles play en route to a 7-2 win over Allegheny College on Friday afternoon.
 
None of the six Dutchwomen lost a set in singles play, as Cathy Zing led the group winning her No. 6 match without losing a point, and 
Alissa Sangiuolo followed closely with conceding only a single point in her first set of the No. 4 match.
 
Natalia Pezzuco won her No. 1 singles match, 6-2, 6-1, while teammate 
Megan Brown took the No. 2 singles match, 6-0, 6-2. 
Julianne Loree won the No. 3 match, 6-4, 6-1, and 
Madeleine Hamparian rounded out singles action in the No. 5 match with a 6-4, 6-3, win.
 
Sarah Collins and 
Phoebe Hallahan partnered for their first collegiate wins as they took the No. 3 doubles match, 8-4.
 
The Dutchwomen will finish off the spring break schedule with two duals tomorrow, March 24, taking on Virginia Wesleyan and the University of St. Thomas.
