SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Junior Megan Brown of the women's tennis team was recognized on Thursday as one of two recipients of the ECAC Medal of Merit as part of the Union College Department of Athletics' annual year-end awards.

While the annual awards are routinely revealed during the Senior Awards Ceremony on the weekend prior to graduation, the COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated a virtual process that will give all deserving award winners their own spotlight. 

The ECAC Medal of Merit is presented to the junior female athlete for excellence and achievement in intercollegiate sports. Following up on her Female Sophomore Athletic Prize last year,  Brown is honored again after serving as co-captain of the of the women's tennis team as a junior. Brown continued to play at second singles for the third straight season and tied for first on the team in singles victories in 2019-20.
