WATERFORD, C.T. – Union College women's cross country raced in the Connecticut College Invitational Saturday afternoon. Union placed 25 out of 26, in a race that featured some top talent.
First-year
Catherine Dacey finished first on the team for the Dutchwomen with a time of 25:15.7. Sophomores
Allison Malatesta and
Kasey McGerald finished second and third on the team and were separated by .4 seconds, with times of 26:06.7 and 26:07.1.
Sophomore
Alayna Gibson finished fourth on the team with a time if 26:34.3. First-year
Keelin Virgulto ran a 28:05.3 and placed fifth on the team. Senior
Lindsey Podlaski raced to a sixth-place team finish with a time of 28:12.5. First-year
Caroline Kelly ran a 29:28.9 and placed seventh on the team.
Union will get back to action in two weeks when they travel to Saratoga Springs, N.Y. to race for the Liberty League Championship on October 30
th.
