ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Union College men's indoor track & field team started the weekend on Friday afternoon with day one of the D-III Elite Meet, hosted by Nazareth University at the Golisano Training Center.
The men only had five entries on Friday's first day of competition at the non-scoring meet.
Sophomore
Ben Pistiner led off for Union in the 5,000 meters, placing 20th with a time of 16:34.28.
Junior
Jason Bois qualified for tomorrow's final in the 60-meter hurdles, winning his heat in a time of 8.57 seconds to place fourth overall at the end of the prelims. Senior
Liam Beck also ran the 60 hurdles, finishing in 9.40 seconds.
Sophomores
Nate Okwaning and
Aaron Binion represented the Garnet Chargers in the 60-meter dash prelims as well on Friday. Okwaning crossed the line in 7.19 seconds to place 12th overall, while Binion finished in a season-best 7.20 seconds to take 15th place.
The Garnet Chargers will be back in action tomorrow for day two of the D-III Elite Meet beginning at 10 a.m.
