WATERFORD, C.T. – Union College men's cross country raced in the Connecticut College Invitational Saturday afternoon. Union placed 22 out of 26, in an invitational with lots of top talent.
First-year
Ryan Russell finished first on the team, with a time of 27:07.1. Sophomore
Ben Trantanella finished second on the team with a time of 27:54.1. First-years
Charlie Alekson and
Ben Neff ran to a third and fourth place team finish respectively. Alekson with a 28:34.9 and Neff with a 28:43.8
Sophomore
Mark D'Alessandro ran a 28:54.3 and placed fifth on the team. Juniors
Ian Spoor and
Ronan Coughlin placed sixth and seventh on the team with a times of 29:24.0 and 29:48.2.
Union will get back on the trails on October 30
th when they compete in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. for the Liberty League Championship.
