MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Union College men's track and field team competed at the Middlebury Winterfell meet. Union placed eighth out of nine teams with 17 points on Saturday afternoon at the New Balance Foundation Track/Virtue Field House.
The highlight of the meet for the Dutchmen came from senior
Andrew Fox, who defeated 25 runners to win the 200m dash and qualified for both the Liberty League Championships and the AARTFC Championships with a lifetime-best time of 22.80 seconds. The senior also ran well in the 60m dash, placing fourth in the prelims and sixth in the finals with a time of 7.21 seconds.

Ben Trantanella and senior
Aiden Rowley placed 10th and 11th, respectively, in the 800m, with Trantanella clocking in at 2:03.31 and Rowley finishing right behind in 2:03.71.

Nick O'Toole finished in 11th with a time of 3:56.34 on the 4x400m relay.
On the field events side, sophomore
William Raeter had a big effort in the shot put, placing fifth and qualifying for the Liberty League Championships with a top mark of 12.34 meters. The sophomore also placed 17th in the weight throw with a distance of 9.57m.
The Dutchmen are back in action next Saturday when they return to Vermont for the Middlebury Invitational. Races and flights begin at 11 a.m.
