ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Union College men's track and field team traveled to the RIT invitational on Friday afternoon, boasting several regional and conference qualifiers and multiple more excellent performances . Senior
Andrew Fox highlighted the day for the Dutchmen by wining both the 60m dash and the 200m dash while qualifying for the AARTFC Championships in both events.
Fox beat out 49 other runners to win the 200m dash with a time of 22.79 seconds to qualify for the All-Atlantic Regional meet. This time sets a new life time best for Fox. Fox won the 60m dash with a time of 7.18 seconds which qualifies him for the Liberty League Indoor Championship. Fox ran a 7.24 to qualify for the finals.

Charlie Alekson had one of the team's top finishes on the day, coming in second place in the 3000m, clocking a time of 9:07.11.

Ben Trantanella finished in fifth place with a time of 4:28.00 in the mile run. This time qualifies Trantanella for the Liberty League Indoor Championships. Teammates first-year

Ryan Hilliard added to the list of Liberty League qualifiers by jumping a distance of 12.41m in the triple jump to landed him in 13th place, while first-year
Liam Beck finished in ninth place in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.47 seconds to punch his ticket to the conference meet.

Aiden Rowley finished in second place with a time of 3:34.48. The 4x200m relay team of Hilliard, Beck, junior

Chris Brandreth finished in third place with a time of 1:41.33.
Next up for the Dutchmen is the Nazareth Tune-Up on Friday, February 18th in Rochester, N.Y. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
