UTICA, N.Y. – The Union College men's track and field team placed ninth out of 14 teams at the Pioneer Invitational with a total of 23 points on Saturday afternoon. First-year
Ben Neff qualified for the Liberty League Indoor Championships in the 800m.
Sophomore
Ryan Hilliard earned the top spot for the Dutchmen in the triple jump placing third. Hilliard jumped a length of 12.32m which earned him eight points in the meet and third place overall in the event.
Neff and teammate Senior
Phil Facey both took part in the 800m dash and earned points for their efforts. Neff ran a 2:01.92 which placed him in sixth place, while Facey clocked a 2:03.25 and finished in eighth place.
In the relay portion of the meet the team of Seniors
Aiden Rowley,
Andrew Fox, sophomores
Ben Trantanella and
Charlie Alekson finished the Distance Medley Relay in fourth place, clocking a time of 11:04.91.
In the 4 by 400-meter relay team of Hilliard, Neff, Trantanella, and first-year
Kyle Collins places fourth and gathered six points while posting a 3:48.52.
The Dutchmen will travel to RIT for a meet next Friday, February 11. Meet begins at 4 p.m.
