Day One Results
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Union College's distance medley relay team of sophomores

Ryan Hilliard and
Charlie Alekson, and first-year
Ben Neff competed on day one of the All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Championships at Nazareth College on Friday afternoon. The Dutchmen finished in ninth place in the event.
Trantanella kicked off the opening leg for the garnet and white, by clocking a 3:08 second 1200m first leg. This time positioned Union in third place in the field with the baton being placed in Hilliard's hands for the second leg.
Hilliard received the handoff from Trantanella and raced the 400m dash. He finished the second leg with a 52.97-second leg. Hilliard gained one spot moving the Dutchmen up to second in the race. He handed off to the 800m portion of Neff.
Neff grabbed the baton and raced his four-lap section of the DMR. Neff clocked his 800m leg at 2:02.97, before placing the baton in Alekson's hand, and he ran his anchor leg 1600m run against a competitive field and finished in 4:35.24.
The Dutchmen, who were seeded in eighth place, finished with a time of 10:39.90, which was close to six seconds faster then their time at the Liberty League Championships last weekend.
Senior
Andrew Fox will be the lone individual competing for the Dutchmen on day two. Fox is running both the 200m and the 400m tomorrow, with those races set to begin at 12:20 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., respectively.
