Pair of Dutchmen Compete on Day 1 at AARTFC

BETHLEHEM, P.A.
– First-years Sam Ahern and Ryan Russell were the lone individual competitors for the Union College men's track and field team on Wednesday afternoon at the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Championships hosted by Moravian University.

Ahern took part in the 100m dash trails on day one. Ahern ran a 11.23 and finished in 31st overall in the race.  Ahern will also race again tomorrow on day two, but this time in the men's 200m dash. That race begins at 3:50 p.m.

Russell also raced on day one in the men's 5000m. Russell ran a 15:38.26 and placed 19th overall. This time is Russell's second fastest time of the season. 

Day two of the AARTFC begins at 10 a.m. The Dutchmen have three individuals running, senior Andrew Fox, Ahern, and first-year Ben Neff, while the men's 4 x 800m relay teams will compete as well for Union.
