BETHLEHEM, P.A. – The 4 x 800m relay team finished in third place overall for the Union College men's track and field team who competed in the All-Atlantic Regional Track and Field Championships on Thursday afternoon at Moravian University. The Dutchmen had three individuals compete and a relay team on day two.
In the 4 x 800m relay team of junior
Aiden Rowley, sophomores
Charlie Alekson and
Ben Trantanella, and first-year
Ben Neff raced to a 7:54.69 in the relay. The Dutchmen finished in third place overall. This was the teams fastest time of the years will all member of the relay running a sub 2-minute 800m. This time earned the men six points in the meet.
Neff placed 20th in the men's 800m run. Neff ran a blazing 1:56.44 which was a new personal best for the first year. Neff's old best was a 1:57.21 he ran last week at the ROC Final Qualifier.
Senior
Andrew Fox took part in the men's 400m dash. Fox ran a 51.28 and placed 17th overall in the meet. Fox also took part in the men's 200m dash. In the 200m dash Fox ran a 22.57 and finished 18
th overall in the race.
First-year
Sam Ahern ran in the 200m dash. Ahern clocked a 22.77 in the meet and finished in 22nd place overall in the AARFTC.
This meet calls an end to the 2021-22 Outdoor season for the Dutchmen.
