KEENE, N.H. – The Union College men's cross-country team raced against 12 teams at the Keene State Invitational, and the Dutchmen had another excellent showing by placing third overall on Saturday morning.
The Dutchmen finished with a total of 101 points. This placed them ahead of Plymouth State, Gordon, UMass Dartmouth, Fitchburg State, Endicott, Keene State, Wheaton, Colby-Sawyer and Clark.
First-year
Ryan Russell was the first Union runner to cross the finish line, placing eighth for the Dutchmen with a time of 26:27.5. Sophomore
Ben Trantanella placed 13th in the race with a time of 26:37.0.
First year
Ben Neff raced to a 27:08.3 finish, placing him 22nd overall and fellow sophomore teammate
Mark D'Alessandro followed just 6 seconds behind Neff with a time of 27:14.9, placing him 24th.
Juniors
Aiden Rowley and
Ronan Coughlin finished back to back with times of 27:41.8 and 27:51.0 for 34th and 35th. Sophomore
Charlie Alekson finished in 39th at 28:01.5 for the Dutchmen.
Union will get back on the course when they travel to Waterford, C.T. for the Connecticut College Invitational for an 11 a.m. start.
