SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – First-year runner
Ryan Russell led the Union College men's cross-country team to a 7
th place finish at the Liberty League Championships, Saturday morning. Union totaled 200 points which placed them ahead of Hobart College and Bard College.
Russell raced to a 32
nd overall finish, running a time of 27:20. Sophomore
Ben Trantanella ran a 28:06.3 and placed second of the team. First-year
Ben Neff raced to a 28:12.1 and placed third on the team.
Sophomore
Charlie Alekson finished fourth on the team and ran a 28:48.1. Junior
Ronan Coughlin raced to a fifth-place team finish with a time of 29:01. Junior
Aiden Rowley and sophomore
Mark D'Alessandro finished sixth and seventh respectively, with times of 29:05.4 and 29:18.8.
Union will get back on the trails when they travel to Waterford, C.T. for the NCAA Atlantic Regional race. This race takes place on November 13
th.
