Middlebury, V.T. – The Union College men's track and field team totaled 31 points and finished in fifth place out of eight teams Saturday afternoon at New Balance Foundation Track/Virtue Field House. Senior
Andrew Fox qualified for the All-Atlantic Regional in the 400m dash.
The top place of the afternoon came from sophomore thrower
William Raeter who tossed a 12.34m throw in the shot put that landed him in third place in the event. Raeter also threw in the weight throw, with a distance of 9.98m.
Fox finished in fourth place running a 50.73 400m. This time qualifies Fox for the All-Atlantic Regional meet. Classmate
Aiden Rowley tallied five points in the 800m dash clocking a time of 2:02.74 and finishing in fourth place.
The first-year pair of
Liam Beck and
Chris Brandreth tallied points in the 60m hurdles. Beck took fifth with a time of 9.43 and Brandreth clocked a 10.23 to finish in eighth place for the Dutchmen. First-year
Sam Bordeau placed seventh in 600m dash finishing with a time of 1:42.96.

Kyle Collins raced to a fifth-place finish with a time of 3:44.36. In the 4 by 800m relay the group of first-years

Phil Facey clocked a 9:02.78 and finished in second place.
The Dutchmen are back on the track next weekend for the Pioneer Invitational in Utica, N.Y. The meet is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday February 5.
