Brian Field had, by far, the most decorative four-year career in the history of Union diving and is one of the most successful athletes in the history of Union College. Field became Union's first ever National Champion in diving, winning the 1-meter in 1996 and was the National Runner-Up in the 3-meter. A year later as a junior, he was the National Runner-Up in the 1-meter and finished fourth in the 3-meter. In total, Field took home eight All-America honors in the 1- and 3- meter diving events. Field was also the Diver of the Meet at the Upper NY State Men's Collegiate Athletic Association Swimming & Diving Championships, helping Union capture four straight state titles. He holds the school record in the 1-meter, 11-dives event with a score of 514.15, won the William B. Jaffe award in 1998 and owns numerous conference and state accolades. He also played football and soccer at Union.
