Athletics Hall of Fame
Julie was a four-year starter for basketball and three year tennis player. She recorded a 35-15 career tennis record, including 32-11 in the regular season. She won the 1983 New York State Singles Championship, competing in a 44 player field, still the best performance ever at the states for a Union women’s tennis player in history. She finished fifth out of 64 players in the states in 1982, and was a two-time team MVP. In basketball, Julie was the all-time career rebounding leader with 556, still ranking ninth all-time 24 years later. She scored 630 career points. Julie was named the Most Improved Player in 1981-82, and won the ECAC Medal and Women’s Commission "Athletic Promise Award."
