Theodore Bick ’58 has been a life long supporter of Union College, both academically and athletically. He was a professor of mathematics at Union for 32 years, and played basketball. He also was a coach for the cross country team from 1972 through 1993. Stan Wiskoski (twice), Steve Jones and Kevin Scheuer were individual NCAA Championship competitors for Bick. Bick also competed in the Boston Marathon for many years. He also played the fight song "It's Union's Game" on his trumpet after touchdowns. Scheuer, an individual member of the Union Athletics Hall of Fame, stated that “Ted is one of Union’s wise warriors. He leads us all by his example as an athlete, coach, professor, fan and friend.” Mr. Bick passed away on August 1, 2016.
